We provide breakfast, guest speakers, crafts, childcare, and time for Moms to get to know other moms. This is a great program for a mother needing to connect with other moms for a fun time. (Kids ages 0-5 welcome.)

The Book Family Farm presents its 23rd annual Harvest Festival and Pumpkin Patch. This year our opening day benefit group will be Kirshner's Wildlife Foundation. The Book Family Farm invites you to experience the harvest on our nostalgic family farm. Create lasting memories with your family and friends. Explore the whole farm. Get up close and personal with the sights and smells of fall as you embark on a search for the perfect pumpkin. Get lost in our amazing hay or corn maze. Pet, feed and enjoy the antics of friendly farm animals. Visit a village of community created scarecrows. Bring home the farm by purchasing home grown produce and handmade decorations from the general store. On weekends, go back in time as you experience a horse drawn wagon ride! All this and more at the Book Family Farm!

Are your kids buckled in the right way?
Parents can stop by a car seat check-up event 
to learn about California child restraint laws, and check to see that their children's car and boosters seats are being used properly.
The event is being put on by Butte County Public Health Department. This event will also provide parents with the opportunity to have safety seats checked for recalls.
The campaign is funding by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National HighwayTraffic Safety Administration.

Studies by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) conclude that children under two years old should watch no television at all, children under six should not be exposed to television news, and no children should have television sets in their bedrooms.

Farm Sanctuary Pignic!
